Augusta Uwaeme

Augusta Uwaeme is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care to adolescents and adults. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and brings more than a decade of nursing experience in acute care settings to her psychiatric practice.

Her extensive nursing background has given her experience caring for individuals with complex medical and mental health needs and has shaped her holistic approach to psychiatric care. She recognizes the importance of considering not only psychiatric symptoms, but also physical health, life experiences, relationships, stressors, and other factors that may influence a person's overall well-being.

Augusta provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management for a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, bipolar disorder, insomnia, trauma-related disorders, and other mood and behavioral health concerns.

Her approach to treatment is collaborative, individualized, and evidence-based. She believes that patients should be active participants in their care and strives to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where individuals feel comfortable discussing their concerns and treatment goals. Augusta works with each patient to develop a treatment plan that reflects their individual needs, preferences, and circumstances while providing education to help them better understand their symptoms and treatment options.

Her goal is to build a therapeutic partnership that helps patients improve their symptoms, strengthen their overall functioning, and achieve greater stability and quality of life.
